Snow and taxes...
Monday, February 21, 2005 (Presidents' Day)
Snowing outside here in Massachusetts. It's very pretty and white, and quiet... except for the occasional car or snowplow going by. Doing the final tax record gathering for my accountant, alas. Thinking about making apple crisp, ...or maybe not. My two cats sleeping in a chair near me, curled up together, —another one in my back room because she and they don't "play nice."
The furnace is rumbling, —the baseboard radiators occasionally creaking as the warmth reaches them. My feet are cold.
Harry won't be shoveling. He's sick. He said his parents would come over and shovel. I said I could do it. He said no, they'd do it. Everyone hunkered down today because of the weather, except I suppose, those who had to go to work...
